Susan Edmonds - Darlington
The school staff of Darlington Primary School felt humble indeed to be chosen to be honoured by the community of the Darlington United Church on Thursday 24th May.
We were treated to a sumptuous afternoon tea with home-made savouries and cakes laid out on a table decorated with flowers! The presentation of a very generous cheque enabled the staff to purchase a dishwasher for the new staffroom – something for which we have been saving for quite some time! The kindness and generosity was overwhelming and we would like to extend our thanks publicly to David Preston , Pastor of the United Church, and his band of wonderful helpers for acknowledging the contribution the school makes to the Darlington community. We really appreciated being appreciated. Thank you. It was truly wonderful!
