Andrew Robinson - Brisbane Qld

Vision Radio Network decided to put the ‘say thanks’ idea into practice.

Just thought I’d shoot you some feedback about what we did for NDOT this year. Vision Radio Network decided to put the ‘say thanks’ idea into practice and asked our listeners to call in and say who they are thankful for and why. We also asked them for a phone number so that we could ring the person or organization that people were thanking and pass on the message. We were overwhelmed with calls and e-mails from heaps of people, old and young, who were so thankful for a huge range of things. The stories ranged from a dad who had given up a kidney for his four year old daughter who was dying from kidney failure, an adult son who thanked his mum for choosing against abortion and rather decided to adopt him out when he was born, a lady who called to thank the local hospital who had provided her good care recently, employees thanking bosses and many more! We literally had way more than we could handle (a good problem!) and had a few people suggesting that we turn it into a regular segment…
