Tolga Community Church - Tolga North Queensland
Tolga Community Church host their first Thanksgiving Day Service
Sally Irvine, administrator for the Tolga Community Church, reports on their first National Day of Thanksgiving service held on Sunday 31 May 2009. “We give God thanks for the wonderful time had by all at our recent Thanksgiving Service and hope that this will be the first of an annual event.” The Tolga church was encouraged to have representation from so many different community areas: State MP – Mr Shane Knuth; Atherton Tablelands Regional Council – Mr Tom Gilmore & Mrs Shaaron Linwood; Local Police – Mr R Straatemier; SES – Paul & Margaret Russell; The Tolga Scouts; Local Churches; Local Chaplaincy _ Mr Justin Kelly & Mr Murray Hanrahan. Many local people, groups, service clubs, volunteers, and many who give their time, support and care for others in the local community.
