Hastings Council Thanksgiving Prayer Meeting Televised on local stations.
Combined Port Macquarie churches pray for the Hastings Council in their council chambers. Local television station televised the event. Pastor Carl Moses opened the Council Meeting with prayer. Permission was given for a small Certificate and Thankyou Ribbon to be placed on the council table for each of the council members. As the meeting started each council member pinned on their Thankyou Ribbon and the local television station televised the meeting. Pastor Carl spoke to the council members about the significance of the Thanksgiving Ribbons. Pastor Carl prayed for the council giving them honour and thanking them for the work they do in their community and prayed that God would give them wisdom as they make the difficult decisions that need to be made. He also prayed for God’s favour on the council as they seek to balance their budgets and that God would bless them and give them financial success. After the meeting Pastor Carl Moses commented “I believe very strongly that as a faith community we can have a major influence upon our council. I would like you to join with me and really believe that the Council will have the favour of God and He will bless them financially.”
