Star of the Sea Catholic School's Pastoral Worker, Jenny Bill - Hervey Bay Qld
Star of the Sea Catholic School (Hervey Bay) participated in this year’s National Day of Thanksgiving (NDOT) as part of the school’s pastoral care/chaplaincy service.
The School’s Pastoral Worker, Jenny Bill organised for several groups of children from each year level (over 60 students) to design and make a total of 12 thank you cards for specific individuals and groups of people in their school community. An assembly was held on Monday 12th May 2008 where the school acknowledged and honoured these people with a special presentation of the thank you cards and colourful paperchain necklaces. Of course the presentations were accompanied by three cheers and very loud applause! The opportunity to participate in the 2008 NDOT was a wonderful opportunity for us to come together as a whole school community. Thank you!
