Testimonies

Mountain View Adventist College - - Doonside NSW

On Friday 9th May the Junior School children of Mountain View Adventist College participated in a special thanksgiving chapel service where they thanked people that care for them, thanked their teachers for their hard work throughout the year in teaching them, and gave thanks to God for all the blessings He gives them.

The morning service included the children singing, a puppet show, sharing poems they wrote, a video of the Kindy children thanking people who care for them, and giving thankyou gifts to their teachers. At lunchtime the Prefects along with the Head of Primary and Associate Chaplain visited a number of community centres that care for children in their local area. The Prefects shared a short prepared thankyou speech and gave the workers boxes of chocolates and thankyou cards. At each of the places they visited a Prefect prayed for the staff. National Day of Thanksgiving is a great opportunity to teach and model to our students, the future leaders of our nation, a heart of thankfulness to God and to each other.
