Our service of Thanksgiving was held in St. Augustine's Anglican Church. There were representaives from various organizations, including local Primary Schools, their Principals & Chaplains, the Fire Brigade, including the Fire Chief, the Ambulance Service, besides a Medical Dr. & nurses.These were all especially welcomed & thanked.
Also Thanksgiving prayers were offered for Australia, the Armed Forces & Police; Teachers & Chaplains; Parents, especially mothers; the Fire Brigade & all those in the various spheres of medical service. A delicious morning tea provided by ladies from the respective congregations, provided the context for warm fellowship. The general consensus was that the gathering had been most worthwhile with keen support for the foundational concept of thanksgiving & anticipation for the larger number possible for such an occasion next year.
